Casa Mañana's 2011 - 2012 Broadway season features audience favorites and first-time collaborations. The season includes: the beloved classic, To Kill A Mockingbird, a co-production with Dallas Theater Center, September 24 - October 2, 2011; the hilarious duo of Joe Sears and Jaston Williams starring in A Tuna Christmas, November 12 - 20, 2011; the hit Tony Award-winning musical Rent, March 3 - 11, 2012; and Ring of Fire, a unique musical revue set to the songs of Johnny Cash, June 2 - 10, 2012.The season kicks off with the timeless classic To Kill A Mockingbird, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee. Mockingbird follows the journey of Jem and Scout Finch, whose father, Atticus, has been appointed to defend a black man unjustly accused. As the trial progresses, the children witness the moral and societal issues that plague their town. Presented in partnership with Dallas Theater Center, To Kill A Mockingbird is a great reminder of the power of tolerance, courage and justice.
