A...MY NAME IS ALICE Plays at Flower Mound Performing Arts, 5/27 - 6/13

By:

Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre (FMPAT) is proud to present A...MY NAME IS ALICE, conceived by Joan Micklin Silver and Julianne Boyd, opens Thursday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m. and runs until Sunday, June 13th.

Originally produced by the Women's Project at the American Place Theatre in New York, ALICE enjoyed a long run at the Village Gate Off Broadway. This slick and lively revue created by a wide variety of comedy writers, lyricists and composers offers a marvelous kaleidoscope of contemporary women. Sophisticated, bawdy, funny and insightful, the twenty numbers portray friends, rivals, sisters and even members of an all women's basketball team. Winner of the Outer Critics' Circle Award, Best Musical. "Delightful...The music and lyrics are so sophisticated that they can carry the weight of one act plays."-N.Y. Times.

FMPAT last produced this show in 2004. Directing and music directing this year's production is Mark Mullino, featuring Stephanie Riggs, Delynda Moravec, Maija Johnson, Sandy Pruitt and Erica Harte.

Parental discretion is advised (subject matter.) Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at www.fmpat.org and range from $25 - $33 depending on seating ($3 discounts available for seniors and students, and groups of 10 or more save 10%.)
