For more than a month, families will have time to create special holiday memories with Charlie Brown, Frosty and all of their friends...moments they'll cherish for a lifetime. Back by popular demand is A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS, and Kathy Burks' FROSTY & FRIENDS will melt hearts this holiday season. The fun for both shows begins November 17 and runs through December 23 at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts.

DCT's version of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS was so popular last year that it is back for an encore! Fans of all ages will enjoy Christmastime with the Peanuts Gang: Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Snoopy, Sally, Pig Pen, and more! Rediscover the true reason for the season while sharing laughs along the way. Kathy Burks' celebrated troupe melts hearts with the endearing tale of Frosty, a lonely frozen figure hoping to make a difference during the season of giving. While searching for his own ways to help Santa, Frosty meets a kind snowy owl and a friendly reindeer who are happy to spend their cold winter days with his gentle soul.

"I'm excited to bring back this beloved holiday classic because it was such a nostalgic hit last season," said Doug Miller, director of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS and DCT's Musical Theater Conservatory. "Audiences loved the ice skating, snowball fight, and the iconic Peanuts characters dancing. What resonates with me though is when Charlie Brown finally discovers the true meaning of the holiday; he realizes that Christmas is that special feeling of thoughtfulness and love that's shown to him."

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS is back to bring nostalgic warmth and hope to a chilly time of year. At every performance, a live combo band will fill hearts with music and merriment playing the classic songs from Charles Schulz's holiday special. And not-to-be-missed is the Peanuts Gang skating throughout the audience on a custom-built skating rink.

"FROSTY & FRIENDS is a sweet story about making friends and finding one's special place in the world - two things that matter an awful lot to the young at heart who are trying to find their own way in the world. Well, Frosty the Snowman is in search of his own contribution during this season of giving. He's even willing to go all the way to the North Pole to discover his purpose in life," said Sally Fiorello, one of the show's directors.

The puppeteers from Kathy Burks' celebrated troupe love telling stories and introducing traditional characters to audiences in unexpected ways. For the troupe, the holidays are the perfect time to create magic by bringing things to life that only exist in their imaginations. "We're like the elves, working feverishly to prepare for the holidays, and laughing our way through the hard work," said Kathy Burks, the troupe's founder.
