Irvine Barclay Theatre's 25th season will see a spectacular array of national and international performers. The Barclay will bring back some old favorites and introduce exciting new talent, including three U.S. premieres.
With the Theatre's Contemporary Dance Series, the Hawaiian Music Series, and an engaging array of music, theater and cirque performances, Barclay audiences enjoy many of the foremost artists and companies working in the field today. Once again, artists of extraordinary range and quality are on the roster. The highlight of the 25th season will be three U.S premieres: Michael Clark Company from London brings its critically acclaimed production, come, been and gone; Rick Miller, who, in previous seasons, delighted us with his international hit, MacHomer, is back with the U.S. premiere of his new solo show, Boom; and the world sensation, Icaro starring Daniele Finzi Pasca, will have its U. S premiere at the Barclay. Pasca has directed extensively for Montreal's Cirque Eloize including its production of Rain, which had its world premiere here at the Barclay. The Barclay will also welcome back some old favorites. Preservation Hall Jazz Band, making its 20th appearance at the Barclay, will join forces with New Orleans icon Allen Toussaint for an evening of legendary music making in their first-ever tour. And we'll celebrate the 50th anniversary of Arlo Guthrie's epic ballad Alice's Restaurant with the iconic folk-singer and balladeer.Visit their website here for more detailed information about the season.
