BROADWAY MEMORIES Fundraiser Led By Foster, Pascal & More At OC Pavilion 10/2

Broadway Knights is pleased to present Broadway Memories, a fundraiser concert to benefit Alzheimer's Association and Capistrano Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the OC Pavilion in Santa Ana.
Broadway Memories stars some of Broadway's biggest names live in concert, including Sutton Foster (Tony Award for Thoroughly Modern Millie, Tony Nomination for Little Women, Drowsy Chaperone and Shrek, the Musical), Adam Pascal (Tony Nomination for Broadway's Rent), Anthony Rapp (Broadway's Rent and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown), Kerry Butler (Tony Nomination for Xanadu, Broadway's Hairspray and Rock of Ages), Stephanie J. Block (Wicked and 9 to 5), and Stephen Tewksberry (Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables), with a special appearance by Pamela Winslow (Paradise Found, Into the Woods). The evening is hosted by Paul Canaan (Legally Blonde, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Matthew Risch (Pal Joey and Legally Blonde), and is directed by Michael Scheman. Broadway Memories features these top vocalists/actors (along with a live band and backup singers) performing iconic songs from the shows they've become known for, including Rent, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Wicked, plus a few surprises.Broadway Knights is a professional organization established in 2010 that specializes in producing the finest Broadway entertainment in Orange County. Broadway Knights partners with other companies, particularly nonprofit organizations, to present concerts and other special events, with the proceeds donated to charity. Broadway Knight's educational component focuses on offering Master Classes with top-name talent. The founders of Broadway Knights have worked with many of Broadway's most talented star, including Laura Bell Bundy, Paul Canaan, Eden Espinosa, Megan Hilty, Tim Howar, Norm Lewis, Seth Rudetsky, Lea Michelle, and more.
The Alzheimer's Association, in Orange County since 1982, exists to serve the more than 70,000 people with dementia in the County with a 24/7 Helpline, 45 support groups, hundreds of educational offerings, and more. Signature programs include outreach programs to companies with information on employee support and assistance, and caregiver support programs of all kinds. As the largest private funder of dementia research in Orange County, The Alzheimer's Association has awarded $230,000 in grants in 2010 alone, and has generated more than $700,000 for research funding across the country over the last five years. Capistrano Center for the Performing Arts, home of the Camino Real Playhouse, has been an entertainment destination for Orange County theatergoers for over 20 years. The organization annually produces seven mainstage shows including four musicals, ShowOff! (an internationally recognized annual playwriting festival), Capistrano Shakespeare Festival, a year-round youth and adult acting academy, an active black box theatre with cutting edge productions, as well as selected outside events and guest entertainers.
