An excerpt from Capote’s infamous unfinished roman à clef, Answered Prayers, recently has been published in Esquire. Having recognized thinly veiled versions of themselves, Manhattan socialites turn their backs on him. Alone and lonely, Capote—soothing himself with pills, vodka, cocaine, and chocolate truffles—muses about his checkered life and career.

October 13, 14 & 15: August Wilson’s How I Learned What I Learned (author of THE AMERICAN CENTURY CYCLE) by August Wilson, Todd Kreidler directed by RAE SUTHERLAND starring JERAMIE GLADMAN From Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson comes a one-man comedy that chronicles his life as a Black artist in the Hill District in Pittsburgh. From stories about his first jobs to his first loves and his experiences with racism, Wilson recounts his life from his roots to the completion of The American Century Cycle. How I Learned What I Learned gives an inside look into one of the most celebrated playwriting voices of the twentieth century.

October 20, 21 & 22: Misterman by Enda Walsh directed by BILL HUGHES starring JOSEPH RUSSO “Touched” Thomas resides in Inishfree with his mother. He buys her sweets every day. It’s Thomas’ daily mission to spread God’s word to friends and neighbors. When evil descends upon Inishfree, it is up to Thomas to purge the town of its self inflicted doom and save them all...but at what cost?
