Yale Repertory Theatre to Present Shakespeare's CYMBELINE, 3/25-4/16


YALE REPERTORY THEATRE (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) presents CYMBELINE by William Shakespeare, directed by Evan Yionoulis, March 25-April 16 at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, March 31.

The cast of CYMBELINE includes Monique Barbee, Jeffrey Carlson, Anthony Cochrane, Christopher Geary, Sofia Jean Gomez, Robert David Grant, Jonathan Higginbotham, Miriam A. Hyman, Sheria Irving, Chalia LaTour, Tony Manna, Michael Manuel, Christopher Michael McFarland, and Kathryn Meisle.

CYMBELINE includes scenic design by Jean Kim, costumes by Asa Benally, lighting by Elizabeth Mak, original music and sound design by Pornchanok (Nok) Kanchanabanca, projection design by Rasean Davonte Johnson, vocal coaching by Grace Zandarski, fight direction by Rick Sordelet, dramaturgy by Taylor Barfield and Lynda A.H. Paul, and stage management by Emely Selina Zepeda.

A faithful princess escapes house arrest in search of her young husband, a prideful commoner banished for his love. A once-beautiful kingdom is soaked in the blood of a war incited by its power-hungry queen. Treachery and betrayal loom at every turn. OBIE Award-winning Resident Director Evan Yionoulis brings Shakespeare's dizzying romance, Cymbeline, to Yale Rep for the first time.
