The Windsor Jesters Present RUN FOR YOUR WIFE, 5/16-17 & 23-24

By:

The Windsor Jesters Spring offering of their 63rd continuous season is Ray Cooney's hilarious British farce, "Run For Your Wife". Directed by Rosemarie Beskind of Simsbury, "Run For Your Wife", tells the story of very ordinary taxi driver John Smith, played by Chris Bushey of Bloomfield, who just so happens to have two wives, two homes and two lives. John has successfully kept each wife, Helen Malinka of Glastonbury as Mary Smith and Tracy Arcari Weed of West Hartford as Barbara Smith, from finding out about the other one until he decides to help out an old woman who is getting mugged. The play proves the old adage that no good deed goes unpunished, as Mr. Smith is soon being investigated by two police detectives, Mark O'Donnell of Windsor as Det. Sgt. Troughton and Steve O'Brien of Simsbury as Det. Sgt. Porterhouse. Even though John is eagerly assisted by his upstairs neighbor Stanley Gardner, Bruce Larsen of Glastonbury, it looks like John's secret is going to come out.

Does John get away with it? Or will his flamboyant new upstairs neighbor, Jeff Weber of Springfield as Bobby Franklyn, blow the lid? You'll just have to see the show to find out. The show is Produced, Stage Managed and Costumed by Nicole Bushey of Bloomfield and the Props Mistress is Linda Lydon of Windsor Locks.

Performances are held in the comfortably appointed theater at the LP Wilson Community Center, 599 Matianuck Avenue, Windsor.
