The Dan Band Plays the Fox Theatre, 1/26
THE Dan Band, featuring funnyman Dan Finnerty, entertains audiences with comical adaptations and covers of celebrated pop songs. Tickets are on sale now for this one night only show at Fox Theater on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m., and are available for $20, $30 and $40. This show is 21+ and is for mature audiences only.
What began as a drunken stunt for Finnerty, singing "I Am Woman" at a karaoke bar, has since spiraled out of control into THE Dan Band – a cult phenomenon that has garnered additional rave reviews from distinguished publications such as The New York Times, The L.A. Times, Variety and Rolling Stone, among others. Playing for sold out crowds from Los Angeles to New York, THE Dan Band has also appeared on numerous shows including "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Last Call with Carson Daly," "Ellen," "The Late Late Show" and Spike TV's "Guys Choice Awards."
Finnerty caught America's attention when he played the foul-mouthed wedding vocalist in the comedy classic, "Old School," performing his now-infamous rendition of "Total Eclipse of the Heart." He also caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who signed on to executive produce his one hour concert special, "The Dan Band: I Am Woman," directed by McG, and has appeared in additional popular feature films, such as "The Hangover" and "Starsky and Hutch." A former member of the group "STOMP," Finnerty has released two CDs – "THE Dan Band LIVE" and "HO – A Dan Band CHRISTMAS."
