THE GROOVY GHOULIES Debuts in New Haven, 10/26

By:

Pantochino Productions Inc. will open it's new family-friendly musical, "The Groovy Ghoulies," on October 26 for five performances at Arts Hall, 55 Audubon Street in New Haven.

Perfect entertainment for the Halloween season, "The Groovy Ghoulies," features book and lyrics by Bert Bernardi with music by Justin Rugg. The show follows a rock and roll band trying to get their new song on top of the charts. Band members include Wolfgang, Swankenstein, D-Rac and Bones T. Bones who do their best to make music despite upstanding citizen Rosalind Stark who threatens their very existence. There's also a host of Halloween creatures, lots of fun and laughter and a 1970's inspired musical score.

"This show is a perfect follow up to last year's award-winning production of "Cinderella Skeleton,' said Bernardi. "I think the grown-ups are going to enjoy this as much as  children will," he added.

"The Groovy Ghoulies" features a cast of actors from Connecticut and New York including Rugg as Wolfgang, Jimmy Johansmeyer as Swankenstein, Evan Faram as
D-Rac and Ian Tucksmith as Bones. Also in the show are Shelley Marsh Poggio, Mary Mannix, Adrienne Griffiths, Raymond Arnold, Stavros Koumbaros, Matthew Johnson, Ali Dunne and Jessica Intelisano.  Bernardi directs the play which features sets by Von Del Mar, lighting by Seth Harris, sound by Elizabeth Cecere and costumes by Johansmeyer.

Performances of "The Groovy Ghoulies" are Friday, October 26 at 7:30pm, Saturday October 27 at 2 & 5:30pm and Sunday, October 28 at 2 & 5:30pm. Arts Hall is located in the Educational Center for the Arts at 55 Audubon Street in New Haven. Parking is available adjacent to the theatre.
