Simulcast Announced for President Clinton's Sold-Out March 2012 Speech

The Connecticut Forum and The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts will celebrate 20 years of Forum events at The Bushnell March 16, 2012 at 7 p.m. with a speech by President Bill Clinton. The event, which will take place in The Bushnell's 2,800-seat Mortensen Hall, is sold out to Bushnell subscribers and donors and Connecticut Forum members. To meet added demand from the general public, a simulcast of the event will take place in the adjacent 907-seat Belding Theatre. All seats for the simulcast are $30.

President Clinton will speak on "Embracing our Common Humanity." Following his speech, he will answer questions from the audience. Simulcast tickets are now on sale at The Bushnell box office, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, by phone at 860-987-5900 or online at www.bushnell.org. A limited number of single seats in the Mortensen may also still be available; inquire at the box office. Aetna and Webster Bank are Lead Sponsors of the event. Sponsors are Prudential and Cigna.

The very first Connecticut Form event at The Bushnell, on October 16, 1992, was entitled "The Changing Political Landscape." Speakers included John Sununu, former Chief of Staff under President George H.W. Bush, former Senator William Proxmire (D-Wisconsin), and Ron Brown, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
