5 days, 3 movie makers, 1 madcap comedy! Beginning with preview performances on Wednesday, January 23rd and opening officially on Friday, January 25th, Playhouse on Park presents the hilarious Ron Hutchinson play, "Moonlight and Magnolias."

This laugh out loud comedy, set during the Golden Age of Hollywood, follows three of Tinseltown's greatest filmmakers as they rush to rewrite the screenplay of "Gone With the Wind" when production is suddenly shut down. With only 5 days to get the job done, the three lock the door and race against the clock. with hilarious results.

An outrageous and entertaining peek behind the scenes, "Moonlight and Magnolias" is directed by Russell Garrett (Actor in Playhouse On Park's "Around the World in 80 Days") and stars Kevin Elden (National Tour of "Picasso At the Lapin Agile", Off-Broadway's Signature Theatre Company, The Ohio Theatre, and The Director's Company), Denise Walker (Playhouse On Park's "Eqqus", Hartford Stage's "Our Town"), Allan Greenberg (Off Broadway's "Murder at the Howard Johnsons's" (Theatre Row), "Twelfth Night" (Bernie West Theater), etc.), and Bill Mootos (New Repertory Theatre's "Little Shop of Horrors", Hanover Theatre's "A Christmas Carol", etc.). Elden, Greenberg, and Mootos are making their Playhouse On Park debuts.

The opening night performance on Friday, January 25th will be preceded by a complimentary wine and cheese reception for patrons to enjoy from 7:00pm to 8:00pm and a Talk Back with the cast and director will follow the Sunday, February 3rd, 2013 matinee.
