On Tuesday, June 25th, 2013, Playhouse on Park is offering a one night only master class in Shakespeare's text with Artist-in-Residence, Brendan Norton.

Norton, starring as the Emcee in the West Hartford theater's production of "Cabaret" this summer, leads this two-hour workshop focused on building an actor's connection to Shakespeare's text through voice, body, intellect, and imagination. This class is designed for intermediate to advanced actors looking to gain a fresh perspective on classical text and looking to access a truthful, engaging interpretation of character through both individual and group work.

The workshop takes place Tuesday June 25th, 2013 from 7-9pm at Playhouse on Park, 244 Park Road West Hartford, CT 06119. $40 per student; Advanced registration is required. Class size is limited to 12. Students should memorize and bring a copy of one of Shakespeare's monologues [1-2 minutes, comedy or drama, verse or prose] to the class. We will need to know which monologue will be used at the time of registration.
