Music Theatre Of Connecticut School of Performing Arts MainStage Kids present "Thoroughly Modern Mille: Junior Edition." The production will take place on Saturday, May 8 at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 9 at 2pm at Long Lots Elementary School on Hyde Lane in Westport, CT. Tickets are $12-$18, and reservations are suggested. “Thoroughly Modern Millie” is the zany new 1920’s musical that took Broadway by storm. Young Millie Dillmount moves to New York City in search of a new life at a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular movie of the same title, which starred Julie Andrews, the stage version includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers. Songs include “Not for the Life of Me,” “Forget About the Boy,” “I Turned the Corner” and “Gimme Gimme.” Book by Richard Henry Morris and Dick Scanlan, with New Music by Jeanine Tesori and New Lyrics by Dick Scanlan.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie: Junior Edition” is a fully staged and costumed production performed by MTC School of Performing Arts students, ages seven and up. The production features Costume Design by Diane Vanderkroef, Set Design by David Heuvelman,Choreography and Musical Direction by Marty Bongfeldt and Directed by Deb Levy. The cast features Olivia Keogh, Anna Becker, Taylor Bluestine, Jacob Bonn, Maizy Boosin, Daisy Brackett, Sevie Browne, Elysse Cadoux, Sydney Carson, Casey Cohen, Shane Cooper, Zoe Fox, Scotty Gordon, Julia Greene, Stephanie Greene, Claudia Guetta, Sammy Guthartz, David Hoffman, Lexi Holoubek, Cara McNiff, Claudia Robinson, Hallie Spear, Elisabeth Tonsberg and Nina Udell of Westport. Zoe Kingsley, Sydney Resnick, Alexa Resnick, Naomi Roberts, Alex Ross, Zoe Saldinger and Renee Scaramuzza of Weston. Irish Harvey, David Littlefield and Nicole (Nikki) Newman of Wilton, Gabriella DeVita and  Catherine McAree of Fairfield, Julia Lerman of Bethel, Dylan Scott of Easton and Isabel Lawrence of New Canaan.
