Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc., a professional, not for profit theatre company specializing in family theatre, presents its Teen Theatre production, "Zombie Prom: Atomic Edition" on February 27th and 28th at the Center for the Arts in Downtown Milford.

Pantochino Teen Theatre gives young actors, thirteen to eighteen years old, the chance to learn, work and grow in a professional environment outside of school. Pantochino's producers Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer lead the program, with resident musical director Justin Rugg. The show features eighteen young actors from New Haven and Fairfield Counties. "We are thrilled to welcome these talented actors who are traveling to us from all over the area including Fairfield, Monroe, Easton, Sandy Hook and as far north as Durham," said Johansmeyer. "They have been working hard and are full of energy and excitement," he added.

"Zombie Prom" is the girl-loves-ghoul, rock and roll off-Broadway musical with book and lyrics by John Dempsey, music by Dana P. Rowe (based on a story by Dempsey and Hugh Murphy) . The story is set in the atomic 1950's at Enrico Fermi High, where the law is laid down by a zany, tyrannical principal. Popular Toffee has fallen for bad boy Jonny. Pressure forces her to end the romance, and he charges off into a nuclear waste dump. He returns glowing and determined to reclaim her heart. He still wants to graduate and take her to the prom. Despite the Principal's order for him to stay away, history comes to his rescue while a tuneful selection of songs in the style of 50s hits keeps the action rocking. The teens will be presenting the 'atomic version' of the show which is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Featured in the cast are Sophia Aquilina, Jaxon Beirne, Jaden Bonfietti-Csvihinka, Meg Cardi, Dani Corrigan, Alyssa Decker, Olivia Foley, Emily Kopstein, Hannah Kupson, April Lichtman, Hannah Penkacik, Kylie Poggio, Thea Ryan, Elena Soviero, Matt Sullivan, Samantha Sutton, Roma Ubaldi and Jerusha Wright.

""Zombie Prom" is the perfect show for our teens," said Bernardi. "It's an energetic, light-hearted look at the 1950's with great characters and catch songs audiences will love," he added.
