Music Mountain, America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, continues its 87th Anniversary Season with a Mid-Summer Benefit Concert on Sunday, July 31 (3PM) featuring the exquisite pianist Richard Goode performing an unforgettable program of Haydn; Janacek; Schumann; and Debussy. Also this weekend, The Catskill Jazz Factory presents the talented Will and Peter Anderson Quintet performing Sax Squared on Saturday, July 30 (6:30PM). Special benefit concerts help make each Music Mountain summer season possible -- there are still many opportunities to hear returning chamber ensembles and musicians, first-time guests, and an array of Jazz ensembles and musicians. See why the New Yorker called Music Mountain "The Summer Shrine of the String Quartet." Concerts are scheduled through September 11.

Called "virtuosos on saxophone" by the New York Times, Peter and Will Anderson are one of the most extraordinary sibling teams performing music today. They have headlined at The Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and New Orleans Jazz Festival, among others. Their ensemble has performed in over 30 U.S. States and toured Japan. Peter and Will will be joined on Saturday evening by jazz organist Pat Bianchi, guitarist Peter Bernstein, and drummer Kenny Washington to present Sax Squared, celebrating the 175th anniversary of the saxophone. The concert will include the repertoire and stylings of sax legends like Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, and Coleman Hawkins in addition to new original works by the Andersons composed specifically for this concert.

The Catskill Jazz Factory is a non-profit program founded in 2012 that supports today's best young jazz artists. By developing opportunities for artist residencies, cross-generational collaborations, creative project development and community engagement, Catskill Jazz Factory brings talent to the community while also bringing new audiences and ears to the art of jazz. By partnering with educational facilities, arts organizations, and a variety of local non-profits and businesses, the Catskill Jazz Factory encourages audiences of all ages to participate in community building through jazz.

Sunday's Mid-Summer Benefit Concert will feature the superb pianist, Richard Goode. For his first appearance at Music Mountain, Mr. Goode offers an exceptional program to include Haydn: C Major Sonata Hob. XVI: 50; Janacek: In the Mist; Schumann: Humoreske op. 20; and Debussy: Preludes Book 2.

Richard Goode has been hailed for music-making of tremendous emotional power, depth and expressiveness, and has been acknowledged worldwide as one of today's leading interpreters of Classical and Romantic music. His current season includes appearances with the Orchestre de Paris and Herbert Blomstedt, the Cincinnati Symphony and David Zinman, and the Orchestre National de Lyon and Ton Koopman, among others. A compelling recitalist, Mr. Goode will be featured in the Great Performers Series at Lincoln Center in New York, at the Royal Festival Hall in London, and in the Chicago Symphony series.
