Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Group Play This Weekend at the Warner

By:

Four time Grammy winner Lyle Lovett returns to the Warner Theatre on Sunday, August 12 at 7pm.

For nearly three decades, Lyle Lovett has defined the modern Texas singer-songwriter. Fusing elements of the blues, country, folk, gospel and jazz, Lovett—in a career that spans 14 albums and more than four million records sold—has created his own style of Americana, defying convention and breaking down barriers along the way.

From his self-titled debut album in 1986 through this year’s “Release Me”, each of Lovett’s releases has served as a powerful reminder that he possesses one of the most distinctive voices in music. His sell-out concerts, whether with his versatile Large Band or in an intimate acoustic setting, serve as showcases for Lovett’s unique gift for storytelling and the tradition of timeless music Lovett continues to create.

Opening for Lyle Lovett will be singer/songwriter, Mieka Pauley. Pauley’s career pursuits have helped her win prestigious competitions like Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Female Rock Star of the Year, the Starbucks Songwriter Competition and the New York Songwriters Circle Songwriting Contest. She’s shared stages with household names like Natasha Bedingfield, KT Tunstall, John Legend, Edwin McCain, Ben Kweller, Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGraw, The Black Eyed Peas and Citizen Cope.

Tickets for the Lyle Lovett concert are $47.50, $57.50 $75.50 Gold Circle and can be purchased by calling the Warner box office at 860-489-7180 or online atwww.warnertheatre.org
