CONCERT FOR A CAUSE Set for Unity Center, 6/4Broadway and cabaret performers come together for a good cause on Saturday, June 4 at 7 pm at Unity Center in Norwalk, Connecticut. The "cause" for this concert will be announced as a part of the event itself, so just come enjoy a stellar show with two for one drinks after the event at BJ Ryan's BANC House (around the corner from Unity Center).

The concert will feature Raissa Katona Bennett (Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Chess in Concert), David Friedman (Broadway and Film Composer), Kenneth Gartman (The Music Man), Shawn Moninger (MAC Award Winner and Comic) and Jodi Stevens (Jekyll & Hyde, Urban Cowboy) along with local Connecticut talent and cabaret performers as well as the Joyful Noise choir from Unity Center.

RAISSA KATONA BENNETT - On Broadway: "Christine Daae" in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and CHESS, as a benefit for the Actor's Fund. First National Tours: "Jellylorum/Griddlebone" and "Jennyanydots" in CATS, and as "Lizzie Phagan" in PARADE, where she worked with the original creative team of director Harold Prince, choreographer Patricia Birch, author Alfred Uhry, and composer Jason Robert Brown.

In NYC, Raissa has headlined at: Feinstein's, Metropolitan Room, Iridium and The Laurie Beechman Theatre. She has guest starred at: The Supper Club, Rainbow Room, 88's, Don't Tell Mama, Chita's, The Algonquin, and Radio City Music Hall. She has soloed with many symphony orchestras and was guest soloist at the estate of the legendary Cal Ripken, Jr.

DAVID FRIEDMAN - With multi-platinum recordings, Broadway shows, Disney Animated Films, Television scores, and a teaching and lecturing career that spans the nation, David Friedman is truly someone who has made a major mark in all areas of show business.

In Noel Coward and Friends at Lincoln Center, in Harmony The Musical at La Jolla Playhouse and in Dietrich and Chevalier The Musical - St Luke's Off Broadway Musicals: Claire Strider - Under Fire - NYMF, Doris - Body Shop, Hildy Lincoln - Eliot Ness in Cleveland, and The Scarlett Pimpernel, to name a few. TV: 27 East, Conviction, Sex in the City, Central Park West. SOLO RECORDINGS: "Girl Talk" (jazz), Jodi also performs as Guest Vocal Artist on Rodger's and Leonhardt , both albums produced by Sons of Sound .
