Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will present A Chorus Line, as the first of its three-show Summer Nutmeg Summer Series, June 5-14 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theater, Storrs. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for drama and nine-time Tony-Award winner, A Chorus Line will feature an outstanding cast of professional artists, alumni and current students.

A Chorus Line, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, tells the story of the unsung heroes of the Broadway musical-the dedicated, talented and overworked chorus dancers. The drama of their competition for a part in the chorus of a new musical will grab you from the first number. This nine-time Tony-Award winning musical and dance spectacular from the pen of legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch brings to life the thrill and the hope of anyone who's ever had a dream and put it all on the line.

The completed cast includes Lori Ann Ferreri, most well known as Nesa Rose in Broadway's Wicked and the national tours of West Side Story and Footloose. Ferreri will play Cassie, an older dancer, returning to the chorus after years of being a featured performer.

The cast will feature Lori Ann Ferreri as Cassie (Broadway's Wicked, National Tours of West Side Story, Aida and Footloose) Joey Barreiro (Paul), Devin Johnson (Mark), Ethan Kasnett (Bobby), Nick Lawson (Zach) and Angela Millin (Bebe). The cast will also feature Dina Altomare, Brandon Beaver, Gabe Bernal, Johnny Brantley, Stephen Brower, Kristin Devine, Julia Estrada, James Jelkin, Sean Jones, Luke Hamilton, Khetanya Henderson, Alana Saunders, Ian Saunders, Kyle Schoeplein, Emily Kay Shraeder, Riza Takahashi, Annie Wallace and Gianna Yannelli.

"A Chorus Line is one of the most incredible dance shows in musical theatre. Michael Bennett's choreography and direction were groundbreaking when the show premiered, and remain profoundly influential today. A Chorus Line is non-stop, challenging, high-energy show that takes the audience on the ride of every dancer on Broadway. At the same time, it is universal as performers and audience alike relate to being "all in". The flashy dancing draws audiences in and the complex characters touch the heart," says Cassie Abate the director and choreographer.

Please call 860-486-2113 for tickets or for more information. Please call or visit the box office for specific show dates and times because performance schedules vary and are subject to change. Tickets available online at www.crt.uconn.edu.
