Shadowbox Live to Bring BIGGER THAN JESUS to Columbus Commons, 5/24
Last year, Shadowbox Live paid homage to the Fab Four with the original rockumentary, Bigger Than Jesus. This summer, you can catch the extremely popular show for absolutely free at a special, one night only, outdoor performance at The Columbus Commons on May 24th at 8 PM.
"The Beatles were such a prolific band whose influence can easily be found in rock music over the last forty years," says Stev Guyer, Executive Producer and CEO of Shadowbox Live. "Bigger Than Jesus is a great way for people of my generation to revisit that era, while at the same time, allowing younger folks to enjoy music they probably already know and just don't realize is by The Beatles!"
Bigger Than Jesus takes audiences through the decade of The Beatles lifespan, chronicling each year from 1964 to 1970 through video, storytelling, dance and live music from Shadowbox Live house band BillWho?. With an opening act by Dr. Simple, an acoustic rock duo from Mansfield, Ohio, the two hour performance features over thirty songs from the band's many, many hits. And the best part is, it will be performed outdoors at the Columbus Commons for absolutely free!
"The Commons boasts 7 acres and can hold up to 10,000 people," says Guyer. "With a free Beatles tribute show, I'd really love to put that number to the test!"
