Shadowbox Live Joins CCLC

By:

Early last month, Stev Guyer, CEO and Executive Producer of Shadowbox Live took a seat on the Columbus Cultural Leadership Consortium, a council comprised of top executives of Columbus's most influential arts organizations.

"It truly is exciting to be invited to join the CCLC," said Guyer. "The consortium has an unbelievable capacity to accomplish meaningful progress for the arts and culture in Columbus."

The CCLC was formed in early 2006 with the goals of bringing a unified voice to the city's major arts and cultural institutions, focusing the fundraising efforts of its members, and developing short term and long term policies and strategies. Aside from Shadowbox Live, member organizations include the BalletMet, COSI, CAPA, Columbus Children's Theatre, Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, CATCO-Phoenix, Franklin Park Conservatory, Greater Columbus Arts Council, Jazz Arts Group, The King Arts Complex, Opera Columbus, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Thurber House, and Wexner Center for the Arts.

"Each of these organizations is a force in their own right in the arts community, commented Guyer. "And the potential they have by working together is boundless."

"We are delighted to welcome Stev to the Columbus Cultural Leadership Consortium," said Nannette Maciejunes, Chair of the CCLC and Executive Director of the Columbus Museum of Art. "It will be wonderful to have Shadowbox Live as part of the downtown cultural arts scene. Downtown will be even more vital now that they are back."

Guyer adds, "With our inclusion in the CCLC, and our impending move downtown, it's my hope that Shadowbox Live will not only cement our position as a leading arts organization, but will continue to contribute our unique energy to the city in an increasingly significant way."

Shadowbox Live is sponsored by Costume Specialists, Courtyard Marriott Columbus Airport location, Crawford Communities, Cup O Joe, Dr. Robert Lowe, Family Physicians of Gahanna, Genesis Audio, Outlook, Professional Eye Care Associates, WCBE.

Shadowbox Live is the largest resident theater company in America, producing over 400 shows per year.

A non-profit 501c3 performance troupe, Shadowbox Live employs 60+ full time ensemble members immersed in the Shadowbox Live philosophy of "everyone does everything," including arts administration.

These Shadowbox Live metaperformers self-produce a wide range of shows, as well as run the company on a day-to-day basis.
