The Shadowbox Black Tie or Blue Jeans Fundraiser, the annual event that combines live and silent auctions and a raffle, is scheduled to take place at Shadowbox: The Sketch Comedy and Rock 'n' Roll Club, on Wednesday, October 14th.

"We always try to have a wide variety of packages," said Katy Psenicka coordinator of the event. "And this year will be no exception!"

Packages will range from "stay-cations" to get-aways and spa packages to sports packages. "We try to have something for everyone as well as packages that range in value so everyone can feel comfortable bidding," continued Psenicka.

Packages in the works for this year's Black Tie or Blue Jeans Fundraiser include:

* A New York City get-away that includes a two night stay at a luxury hotel in Manhattan, tickets    to two Broadway shows, and a certificate for fine dining in the city.
* A Chicago get-away that includes a two night stay at a luxury hotel, tickets to various theaters    and comedy clubs, and admission to local cultural attractions
* Cleveland Brown's tickets
* OSU Football tickets
* A Put-In-Bay get-away that includes three nights on the island and tours of local wineries
* A Nashville get-away that includes a two night stay and tickets to the Grand Ole Opry
* An extreme adventure package that includes hang-gliding lessons
* Numerous local and regional activities and cultural event packages

"One of the most surprising packages we have this year will be Gold-Diggin' with Jym Ganahl," said Psenicka. Ganahl, a Shadowbox fan and cameo performer in the troupe's video shorts, has graciously donated his time and expertise to take a group panning for gold at a notorious hot-spot in Ohio. The package includes guidance from Jym, gold-digging equipment, and a picnic lunch.

"This year's items committee, under the guidance of Items Chairman Amy Lay, has done a fabulous job of gathering unique, high-value items for auction," commented Psenicka. "I'm confident that the winning bidders will walk away with some fabulous bargains and their generous donations will help us get one step closer to our downtown home."

To purchase reservations for The Black Tie or Blue Jeans Fundraiser contact the Shadowbox Box Office at 614-416-ROCK (7625) or go online to www.shadowboxcabaret.com.

Appetizers, desserts and cash bar will be available throughout the event. Bidding begins at 7:30 PM.
