Jean-Marie Zeitouni to Lead the Columbus Symphony, 5/4 & 5

CSO Music Director Jean-Marie Zeitouni will lead the Columbus Symphony in a celebration of orchestral virtuosity with an unmistakable French accent and allure, featuring guest mezzo-soprano Jennifer Rivera and the Columbus Symphony Chorus.

The program includes Debussy’s Prélude a I’Après-midi d’un faune (Prelude to "The Afternoon of a Faun"), Fauré’s Pavane, excerpts from Chausson’s Poeme de l’amour et de la mer for Voice and Orchestra, Ravel’s Suite No. 2 from Daphnis et Chloe, and Duruflé’s Requiem.

WOSU’s Christopher Purdy will hold a free, pre-concert lecture about the program for ticket holders at 7pm each night on the fourth floor of the Ohio Theatre’s Galbreath Pavilion.

The Columbus Symphony presents The French Feast at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) on Friday and Saturday, May 4 and 5, at 8pm daily. Tickets are $24.75-$68 and can be purchased at the Ohio Theatre Ticket Office (39 E. State St.), all Ticketmaster outlets, and www.ticketmaster.com.
