Lottery Tickets Announced for RENT

Playhouse Square today announced that seats in the first two rows of the orchestra section will be available as part of a lottery for every performance of Rent, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical which comes to Playhouse Square March 6 - 25 as part of the KeyBank Broadway Series.
The lottery tickets are $20 each, cash only, available in-person via lottery at the Playhouse Square Ticket Office, located at 1519 Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland, on the day of each performance. The lottery will begin with sign-ups two and a half hours prior to each performance, with names being drawn two hours prior to the show. Winners must be present at time of drawing in order to purchase tickets. Lottery ticket purchases are limited to two tickets per person.
The tradition of the $20 tickets began in 1996 in New York when the show moved to Broadway after a sold-out run in a small downtown theatre. The producers of the show are committed to continuing the tradition of offering orchestra seats for $20 in each city the show will play.
RENT performs at the Connor Palace at Playhouse Square with performances March 6 through March 25. Show times are Tuesdays - Fridays at 7:30PM, Saturdays at 1:30 and 7:30PM, and Sundays at 1:00 and 6:30 PM.
