Sales and Marketing Manager - Second Stage Theater

SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER



The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating the sales initiatives of the theatrical season; both off Broadway at the Kiser Theater and on Broadway at the Hayes Theater. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this position functions as a central hub among advertising agency, box office, development department, and telemarketing to coordinate and execute sales goals. Specific duties include:



Subscription Efforts (50%)

- Develop timelines, initiate renewal plans, and work to maintain a strong subscription base year over year

- Work with ad agency in the development and execution of subscription acquisition campaigns including trafficking materials for approvals

- Communicate all initiatives and strategies with the box office and telemarketing

- Create and deliver leads to telemarketing manager

- Manage a cross-departmental subscription task force, sharing important sales trends and updates



Single Ticket Efforts (50%)

- Develop email strategy, and manage email lists and calendars for development and marketing departments

- Work with ad agency in direct mail initiatives, building mail trade lists, trafficking

- Analyze daily sales trends and adjust pricing to maximize revenue and attain/surpass goals

- Communicate sales strategies, current promotions, and discounts to box office managers



Additional

- Manage Tessitura ticketing system for both our customized subscription path and our single ticket buyer path

- Manage Prospect2 email system for automated pre and post show emails as well as all other company wide initiatives

- Manage departmental budgets



Ideal candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker and have 3+ years of arts marketing experience with direct ticket sales and campaign management experience, an understanding of not-for-profit structures and dynamics; demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals; excellent writing/communication skills. Knowledge of Tessitura, TNEW, Prospect2, Audience360 a huge plus.
