There are 2 groups starting next week (Thurs and Sat); these will be the last ones until January 2021.
Perfect for grad school prep, agent/manager/casting director meetings; to expand range, keep in shape, explore new writing, and build repertoire.

Taught by Atlantic director & senior teacher Karen Kohlhaas, author of THE MONOLOGUE AUDITION: A PRACTICAL GUIDE FOR ACTORS, recommended by Dame Helen Mirren for her Master Class on Acting and a Backstage must-read. Karen was named Best NYC Monologue Teacher and Best NYC Cold Reading Teacher by Backstage readers. Now Enrolling 2 groups only

You'll be able to check off every item on this list at the end of our sessions. How many can you check off now? OVERALL
__You have 4 monologues prepared
__At least one is a "Hello, This Is Me" monologue for agent & casting directors
__You choose material that is a great fit for you and for specific auditions
__You have a complete approach for future monologues
__You ENJOY doing monologues :) DIRECTING & STAGING
__You know how to stage yourself with fun physical choices
__You have variety so your monologue doesn't stay on one note
__You're comfortable with both movement and stillness
__Your body knows what to do at every moment of your performance
__You can easily adjust your performance size for stage, film, or TV. ACTING
__You choose very specific, actable objectives
__You can act with truth and connection—without a partner
__Your performance is an alive, two-way conversation—not canned or pre-planned AUDITION TECHNIQUE
__You enter the room with confidence, looking delighted to be there
__You introduce/slate clearly and effectively
__You handle all transitions and questions/chat with ease
