Seussical the Musical is a colorful, high-energy stage adaptation that brings the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to life. The story centers on Horton the Elephant, who discovers a tiny world on a speck of dust and risks everything to protect it—while also helping care for an abandoned egg. Featuring beloved characters like The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, and JoJo, the show celebrates friendship, loyalty, and the power of standing up for what’s right. Perfect for audiences of all ages, Seussical is a joyful reminder that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” 

Spotlight Arts Collective brings the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss comes alive in Seussical the Musical, featuring a talented cast of performers from the surrounding communities of Frankfort, Homer Glen, Joliet, Lockport, Manhattan, Mokena, New Lenox, and Tinley Park.

This family-friendly production stars Miles Kolby Meador as the Cat in the Hat, Ruby Negrusz as JoJo, Steven Beemsterboer as Horton the Elephant, Angel Noelle as Gertrude McFuzz, Abriella Caravette as Mayzie La Bird, Sharra Martin as Sour Kangaroo, Kevin Reutter as the Mayor, and Jaime Zwart as Mrs. Mayor.

Also featured are Kayleigh Fitzgibbons, Margie Hess, Avalyn Martin, and Dani Sheehan as the Bird Girls; Sean Spicer, Shane Spicer, and Jake Tedeschi as the Wickersham Brothers; Rick Zwart as General Schmitz/Vlad Vladikoff; and Jordan M. Willner as Yertle the Turtle. The production includes a 50+ member ensemble of children and adults, highlighting performers ages 5 and up.

Seussical the Musical is a colorful, high-energy celebration of imagination, friendship, and the power of standing up for what’s right—perfect for audiences of all ages.
