YIPPIE FEST to Present Over 80 Acts at Prop THTR ImageThe first YIPPIE FEST, a continuous, live theater festival in the spirit of the Abbie Hoffman Died for Our Sins Festival (which closed last year after 28 years at the Mary-Arrchie Theatre), will take place for three days/nights on the same traditional weekend celebrating the anniversary of the Woodstock Nation - August 18th-20th, 2017 - at the Prop THTR, 3502 North Elston Avenue in Chicago.

Over 80 acts, including comedy, drama, solo performance, dance, music and independent film will participate in the 1ST YIPPIE FEST on two stages for almost non-stop entertainment. Favorites from the Abbie Fest, DANGER CIRCUS, Rush Pearson, DB COMEDY and FAMOUS IN THE FUTURE will be appearing, as well as bands like Trouble Ahead (Grateful Dead Tribute), whitewolfsonicprincess, and Voodoo Asylum. Schedules, act profiles and more will be available on YIPPIEFEST.com the week of the festival.

The website includes a pre-sale of tickets for the festival, with early purchasers receiving the discount price of $20 for the weekend, and $10 for individual nights ($25/$15 at the door). The festival will feature a theatre bar, with specials throughout the weekend. The founders of YIPPIE FEST are stoked to take on the SPIRIT LEGACY of the long-running Abbie Hoffman Festival, and open the Prop Thtr doors to a new perception, and performance happening.
