Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre Receives 12 Jeff Nominations

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre received the second highest number of Jeff Awards Non-Equity nominations, garnering a total of 12 for all three if its musicals and musical revues produced between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011.
Recipients will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday, June 6 at the Park West.Theo Ubique dominates the category of Musical Direction with nominations for Austin Cook, "Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein" (currently running), Ethan Deppe, "Cats" and Steve Carson, "Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen.""Cats" also dominated nominations for Theo Ubique with a total of eight. In addition to Music Direction, other nominations are: Production-Musical; Ensemble; Director-Musical, Brenda Didier; Choreography, Brenda Didier; Costume Design, Matt Guthier; Artistic Specialization, Michael Buoninconto for Wig Design, and Artistic Specialization, Izumi Inaba for Make-up Design. Other Theo Ubique nominations are Ensemble for "Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein" and Bethany Thomas for Actress in a Supporting Role-Musical for "Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen."theatres in the Glenwood Arts District prove to be strong leaders in the Non-Equity theatre scene, and Theo Ubique is proud to be a part of that collaboration," said Fred Anzevino, co-founder of Theo Ubique and artistic director.
