Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre received the second highest number of Jeff Awards Non-Equity nominations, garnering a total of 12 for all three if its musicals and musical revues produced between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011.

Theo Ubique dominates the category of Musical Direction with nominations for Austin Cook, "Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein" (currently running), Ethan Deppe, "Cats" and Steve Carson, "Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen."

"Cats" also dominated nominations for Theo Ubique with a total of eight. In addition to Music Direction, other nominations are: Production-Musical; Ensemble; Director-Musical, Brenda Didier; Choreography, Brenda Didier; Costume Design, Matt Guthier; Artistic Specialization, Michael Buoninconto for Wig Design, and Artistic Specialization, Izumi Inaba for Make-up Design.

Other Theo Ubique nominations are Ensemble for "Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein" and Bethany Thomas for Actress in a Supporting Role-Musical for "Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen."

"Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein" is currently running through June 5, and the regular run through April 30 is sold out. Several Saturday performances in May are also sold out. Tickets are available through the web site at www.theoubique.org or www.theo-u.org. "Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen" will be remounted with the original cast at Theatre on the Lake, running August 3-7.

Theatres in the Glenwood Arts District in Rogers Park did well with the Jeff Awards nominations. Lifeline Theatre captured nine nominations, and "the side project" received one.

"I am so proud of Brenda Didier in her first solo directing role for ‘Cats' and excited that she is nominated for both Director and Choreography and that ‘Cats' received eight nominations. It is also rewarding that the Jeff Awards Committee honored our two musical revues with nominations. Once again, the storefront
theatres in the Glenwood Arts District prove to be strong leaders in the Non-Equity theatre scene, and Theo Ubique is proud to be a part of that collaboration," said Fred Anzevino, co-founder of Theo Ubique and artistic director.

Last year, Theo Ubique also received 12 nominations. Its production of Chess, received seven awards, including Production-Musical. The theatre company has received 25 Jeff Awards since the 2001-2002 season.
