The Whiskey Rebellion is excited to announce Ulysses 101, a new adaptation of James Joyce's classic novel. Created by Whiskey Rebellion founders Jessica Wright Buha (adaptor) and Aileen McGroddy (adaptor/director), this piece seeks to unwind the famously knotty text in the world of unpacking, discussing, and book-skimming: the college classroom. Our seminar is led by The Professor (played by Greg Peters), Ulysses' unseen by meddling narrator, and assisted by his TA, L. Bloom (played by David Fink). The production also features James Snyder as Stephen Dedalus, Rachael Miller as Molly Bloom, Isaac Samuelson as Blazes Boylan, and Alexis Randolph as Buck Mulligan. The hallowed halls of academia become the streets of Dublin in this theatrical lesson in difficult journeys.

Ulysses 101 will be The Whiskey Rebellion's sixth new work production. Founded in 2011, The Whiskey Rebellion was last seen in Rhino Fest 2014 with Kodachrome Telephone and quarterly present The Whiskey Radio Hour at the Black Rock Pub.

Ulysses 101 runs today, May 30th - June 8th (Friday and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2pm), June 12th (7:30pm), June 15th (2pm) and Bloomsday, June 16th (7:30pm) on the University of Chicago's campus. Attendees should arrive at Café Logan (915 E 60th St, Chicago, IL 60637) at 7:30 for evening shows and 2pm for matinee shows. The performance will take place at a second location, a short 7 minute walk from the café.
