The Second City celebrates its 50th Anniversary of Mainstage performances and is proud to present its 97th Mainstage Revue, Taming of the Flu. Taming of the Flu opens on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 7:00pm at The Second City Mainstage Theatre (1616 N. Wells Street in Chicago).

While hope and change won't stop you from getting sick, they may help you pay the hospital bills. And if you believe that, we have a great policy to sell you. We're sick of the flu, sick of the health care system, and sick of the cameras catching us running the red lights. Although technology & Twitter have supposedly made us a smaller world, people have never felt farther apart. Taming of the Flu connects with everyone: put-upon Chicago cabbies, Canadian ex-patriots and even a visit with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni.

Directed by Mick Napier, the cast of Taming of the Flu includes Lauren Ash, Shelly Gossman, Anthony LeBlanc, Brad Morris, Andy St. Clair and Emily Wilson. Ruby Streak is Musical Director and Craig Taylor is Stage Manager. Set Designers are Kevin Depinet & Amy Jackson and Stylist is Logan Vaughn.

The producing team includes CEO and Executive Producer for The Second City Andrew Alexander; Executive Vice President of The Second City Kelly Leonard; Co-Producers Robin Hammond and Alison Riley; and Production Coordinator Monica Wilson.

Tickets are available by phone at 312-337-3992 or on-line at www.secondcity.com.
