The Revival Announces TOO LIT FOR TV! ImageThe Revival is excited to announce TOO LIT FOR TV! - an evening of comedy and music presented by THE MARTIN LUTHER KINGS OF COMEDY.

TOO LIT FOR TV! opens SATURDAY, JUNE 9th at 8:00pm and plays every SATURDAY at 8:00pm through JUNE 30th.

TOO LIT FOR TV! is inspired by landmark comedy shows from the 90's including In Living Color, Martin, and Def Comedy Jam. TOO LIT FOR TV! is a hilarious exploration of socially and politically conscious topics that will keep you in tears while stimulating your mind. Experience a night of sketch comedy, stand-up and musical talent from across the city. Chicago's best up and coming comedy ensemble - The Martin Luther Kings of Comedy - disrupt the norm with TOO LIT FOR TV!

The Martin Luther Kings of Comedy are a movement of stand-up comedians, writers and producers who bring a different flavor of love, social consciousness, and hope to the comedy scene. Its members noticed a lack diversity in the comedy scene and realized that their impact would be greater together than individually. The group started in intimate house shows in DIY spaces and now partners with some of Chicago's most notable theaters including The Steppenwolf, Laugh Factory and The Revival. This year, the group will release its debut television pilot filmed at Steppenwolf Theatre in collaboration with Hudson House Productions.
