The New Colony's THE TERRIBLE to Run 10/16-11/21 at The Den Theatre
The New Colony is pleased to conclude its 2015 season with the world premiere dark comedy THE TERRIBLE by Morgan McNaught, directed by Jesse Roth, playing October 16 - November 21, 2015 at its resident home, The Den Theatre's Main Stage, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Tickets are currently available at www.thenewcolony.org. The press opening is Monday, October 19 at 7:30 pm.
THE TERRIBLE will feature Chris Fowler, Andrew Hobgood, Jessica London-Shields and Shariba Rivers.
Controversial performance artist Woolfe wakes up dead in a weird room with a shrink, a rake and a songstress. Will they accept the terrible pains of life by which they died or be forced to relive them in this room for eternity?
"We are proud The Terrible comes from the warped minds of Morgan McNaught and Jesse Roth, two artists making their writing and directorial debuts on The New Colony's Main Stage," comments Co-Artistic Director Evan Linder. "Their vision perfectly compliments the company's unique style - and The Terrible's unique atmosphere and sense of dread is unlike anything seen before on our stage."
The production team for THE TERRIBLE includes: William Boles (scenic design), Marisa Allison (costume designer), Claire Chrzan (lighting) design), Morgan Lake (sound design), Emily Breyer (props design), Jon Beal (violence coach), Hutch Pimentel (dramaturg), Justin Snyder (technical director), Krista Mickelson (production manager), Katrina Dion (asst. director), Jared Godding (asst. lighting design), Monica M. Brown (stage manager), Clarissa Jugo (asst. stage manager) and Stephanie Shum (producer).
