THE LIGHTNING THIEF and More Set for Next Page Productions Inaugural TYA Season
In addition to James and the Giant Peach and The Lightning Thief, the Skokie season includes Pete the Cat.
Next Page Productions has revealed its inaugural Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) season in residence at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts. The 2026-2027 season will be presented in the venue's intimate North Theatre, a 300-seat space designed to create an engaging and up-close experience for young audiences.
The season features three productions for students, families, and educators, brought to life through imaginative storytelling and high-quality live theatre.
The season opens with Pete the Cat (November 12 - December 11, 2026), a groovy, music-filled adaptation of the beloved book series that celebrates creativity and self-expression.
In spring, Next Page Productions presents James and the Giant Peach (April 22 - May 14, 2027), featuring music by Pasek & Paul. This magical musical brings Roald Dahl's classic story to life as James embarks on an unforgettable journey filled with friendship, adventure, and discovery.
The season concludes in summer 2027 with The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, a high-energy rock musical based on the best-selling novel. Audiences will follow Percy Jackson on an epic quest through a world of gods, monsters, and heroes.
School matinee performances will be available for all productions. Group tickets (15+) go on sale August 4, 2026, with educators encouraged to book early to secure preferred dates.
