Strawdog Theatre Company to Present AFTER MISS JULIE, 8/14-9/28

Strawdog Theatre Company and Artistic Director Hank Boland are proud to announce the first main stage production in its 2015 - 2016 season, Patrick Marber's After Miss Julie, August 14 - September 28, directed by Elly Green, at Strawdog Theatre Company, 3829 N. Broadway St. Previews are $15 with performances Thursday, Aug. 20, Friday, Aug. 14 and 21, Saturday, Aug. 15 and 22 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 16 and 23 at 4 p.m. There is a Board Preview Event Saturday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. with $50 tickets that include access to the post- performance reception. The opening night performance is Monday, Aug. 24 at

8 p.m.The performance schedule is Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. An industry performance is Monday, Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. Single Tickets are $28 and on sale now. After Miss Julie is Marber's modern reimaging of August Strindberg's classic play now set in 1945 the night of England's Labour Party's landslide election victory over Winston Churchill's Conservative Party. The wealthy Julie (Maggie Scranton) and the servant John (John Henry Roberts) navigate the complexity and sexual politics of master and servant relations, all while under the watchful eye of John's former fiance?e and fellow servant Christine (Anita Deely). Director Green (Jeff Award- nominee for Stage Left's Rabbit) makes her Strawdog debut directing what The Telegraph (London) calls "[an] unforgettable night of white-hot theatrical intensity."

The After Miss Julie production team includes Strawdog Company Ensemble Members Mike Mroch, scenic designer; Heath Hays, sound design; Brittany Dee Bodley, costume designer and guest artists Claire Chrzan, light designer, Jamie Karas, props designer; Adam Goldstein, dialect coach, Emmaline Keddy-Hector, production manager; Emily Dillard, stage manager and Cassandra Rose, dramaturg.

As recently, announced, Strawdog Theatre Company will be leaving its home at 3829 North Broadway Ave. at the conclusion of its 2015 - 2016 28th Season in June 2016. Real estate developments on the block have caused the move for the
Company. Strawdog has been at the current location, both its administrative offices and theatre spaces, for 25 years, since its third production Temptation by Vaclav Havel in 1990. The company's final show in the Broadway space will be their
110th production, Kaufman and Hart's 1930 classic, Once in a Lifetime, directed by Damon Kiely and opening in April 2016.
