Steve Cochran, formerly of WGN Radio, is bringing his New Year's Eve Comedy Show for People Who Can't Stay Up Until Midnight to the historic Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb.

"What's exciting about this year," said Cochran, "is that after our comedy bash - which will include WGN's television specialist Mike Toomey, perennial funnymen and favorite radio guests of mine John DaCosse and Tim Clue - folks who can and want to stay up past midnight can bring in the New Year again."

Comedy and music with Steve Cochran and friends begins at 7:00 p.m., and at 9:30 there will be big band live music & dancing, wine, hors d'oeuvres and lots more fun at the historic Egyptian.

Clue believes this comedy show and the Egyptian are a perfect match. "Steve Cochran has a huge fan base in DeKalb and the surrounding areas," said Clue. "So I was excited to find out that the Egyptian was also looking for a major New Year's Eve event. We all agreed, let's put on a show!"

Steve Cochran, as most fans of WGN radio already know, was mysteriously let go in June. But Cochran is in fairly good company; management  also removed legendary broadcasters Kathy and Judy from the line up, as well as forcing out Spike O'Dell in the Fall of 2008.

Tickets start at $25.00 and can be purchased online at http://egyptiantheatre.org, at the Egyptian Theatre Box Office at 135 N. Second Street, DeKalb, or by calling the Box Office at (815) 758-1225.
