Rob Dorn Returns To The Wilmette Theatre in ROB DORN'S WONDERLAND, 12/19

Chicago singer and actor, Rob Dorn, returns to the Wilmette Theatre with the holiday concert "Rob Dorn's Wonderland" on December 19th at 7:30pm. The fourth annual holiday event, "Rob Dorn's Wonderland" explores the holidays of the past through personal Christmas stories and a special tribute to the great Chicago holiday specials of the early 1960s.

Rob Dorn will include songs from his CD aptly titled "Wonderland." Songs include "Holly Jolly Christmas", "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch", "Winter Wonderland" and more. Musicians will be guitarist John Behling, bassist Beau Sample, and special guest appearance by Hannah Dorn.

Rob Dorn has been working in the entertainment industry for more than twenty five years as an actor, vocalist, writer, director and producer. For several years, Rob produced and toured with the vocal group, " Three Hits and a Miss." Together they performed in sold out concert shows across the country in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and the famed McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California.

His credits include a national tour of Stephen Sondheim's "Into The Woods," the hit show, "Forever Plaid," touring with Las Vegas legends Sandler and Young, hitting the high Seas as a guest performer on The Crystal Symphony and Harmony ships and performing in Leonard Bernstein's phenomenal "Candide" with the Minnesota Orchestra.

Additional credits include "The 1940's Radio Hour" (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), "Candide" (Court Theatre, Chicago) and "Sweeney Todd" (Theatre Building, Chicago), "The Candyland Diaries" and "Yarn" (with composer Eric Lane Barnes), "Gentleman of Song" and tributes to Blossom Dearie and Cass Elliott (with co-producer Jason Paul Smith), "Crazy About Broadway," "I Got Gershwin," "Tenors : Irish and Otherwise, " "Twentieth Century Hit Parade" with Beckie Menzie, Tom Michael and Laura Freeman, "The Judy Garland Duets" (also with Freeman), "The War of the Worlds" with Rick Kogan, his annual holiday show, "Wonderland" and as an ensemble member in Silk Road Theatre Projects, "Threads of Silk" cabaret. Rob also is the producer, writer and director of Bab Fab, an annual musical tribute to Barbra Streisand that raises money for several noteworthy charities and features an array of musical artists and Matt Howe, curator of barbra-archives.com.

He has Produced and Co-Produced several CD recordings including Mixing it Up, Sentimental Star, Sing Sing Swing and Christmas Presence (all featuring Three Hits and a Miss), Solo recordings, "I'm Wishing," and "Wonderland" and is featured on the original cast recording of "A Christmas Carol Petersen."
