Redtwist Theater Extends BUG Thru 8/7

Redtwist's popular, Jeff Recommended show, BUG, by Tracy Letts, is adding three more performances and then it must close.

BUG is currently running now through August 7 on Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 3pm.

Director Kimberly Senior returns to Redtwist after her blockbuster production of The Pillowman. She teams up with scenic designer, Jack Magaw, as directors/designers of this explosive drama.

Featuring Redtwist company members Jacqueline Grandt, Andrew Jessop, Tommy Lee Johnston, and Michael Colucci, and guest artist Karen Hill.

This gritty and darkly funny drama is a psychologically complex thriller dealing with love, alienation, paranoia, and government conspiracy. The psychotic fervor with which the protagonist, an AWOL Gulf War veteran, rants about his theories insidiously infects the mental stability of his new love interest, Agnes, a lonely alienated woman living on the seedy motel edge of town. Two kindred spirits against whom the world is encroaching, they take aggressive solace in their warped reality that "the Man" is out to get them. This leads to an overwhelming, inescapable paranoia and an explosive climax of epic proportions.
