RedTwist Presents A DELICATE BALANCE, 9/25-10/24

By:

A Delicate Balance, by Edward Albee, opens on Saturday, September 25, at 3pm. the production is directed by Steve Scott, Artistic Associate, Goodman Theatre. The show features company members BrIan Parry, Jacqueline Grandt, and Jan Ellen Graves with guest artists Millicent Hurley, Chuck Spencer, and Cece Klinger.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning drama about an upper middle-class family whose world is shaken and stirred when their lifelong friends come to stay because of the unspoken terror within.

A gaggle of damaged souls just wants the fear inside to stop. They are screaming into the abyss of their own emptiness while tossing acidic barbs at each other. Their words have clever and elegant precision, yet they stem from a tumultuous world of inner chaos. In Albee's landmark drama, very little happens on the outside, yet their riveting story unfolds with gripping power and exhilarating force, revealing casualties in every closet.
