Red Tape Theatre Welcomes New Staff

By:

Red Tape Theatre has announced its Managing Director and Marketing Director.

Anthony Guerrero, who has served the past 5 years as Executive Director of Chicago Dancers United/Dance for Life, has been named Managing Director of Red Tape Theatre by Artistic Director Max Truax. "Over the past eleven years, Anthony has made extraordinary contributions to Chicago's theatre and dance communities," Artistic Director Max Truax said. "His knowledge, experience and reputation will be invaluable to planning and overseeing Red Tape's future growth."

Anthony Guerrero has worked as an actor, director, writer and producer in the performing arts for nearly 30 years. Most recently known for his work as Executive Director of Chicago Dancers United, he took Dance for Life, an annual event that raises money and awareness to support the health and well-being of the Chicago dance community, to the next level as a new nonprofit organization. It was here where he fell in love with the idea and the importance of artists supporting each other. Anthony Co-Founded Hubris Productions (2005-2010), where he directed, produced, and performed in multiple projects. He holds a BA in Performance and Performance Studies from New York University and an MBA in Non-Profit Management.

Max Truax is proud to announce longtime collaborator Casey Chapman as Red Tape's Marketing Director. Chapman is a Chicago-based actor who has worked for over 11 years in the marketing department at the Goodman Theatre. He is a company member with Trap Door Theatre where he supports social media marketing initiatives.

As a stage actor, Chapman was most recently seen in Trap Door Theatre's "The Duchess of Malfi", and will be seen in their upcoming "Fantasy Island For Dummies". He has collaborated with Red Tape's Artistic Director Max Truax on several productions, including "Termen Vox Machina" (Oracle Productions), "No Darkness Round My Stone" and "They Are Dying Out" (Trap Door Theatre).

Chapman has worked extensively in film the past 5 years winning the best actor award at the New York City Independent Film Festival and International Film Awards Berlin festival for his role in the independent film Mothers Milk. Other film credits include Residuum, Asymptotes, Hell Town and others. He is a part of the artistic collective and film distribution company Esemplastic LLC, created by local screenwriter and filmmaker Edward Pionke.
