Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action Awarded a $12,500 Grant from Hyatt Regency O'Hare

As part of Hyatt Community Grants, a philanthropic program that empowers Hyatt associates to guide charitable giving, Hyatt Regency O'Hare announced today that it has awarded Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action with a $12,500 grant to further the organization's efforts in promoting community development in the Chicago metropolitan area and empowering people through education, training and supportive services.

Hyatt Community Grants, a key component of Hyatt Thrive – Hyatt's global corporate responsibility platform – encourages hotels around the world to identify and nominate local nonprofits for funding consideration through Hyatt Hotels Foundation. The program builds on Hyatt's belief that no one better understands a community's most pressing issues – and their solutions – that those that live and work there.

"We began our relationship with PLCCA in 2011. We have been pleased to partner with Proviso Leyden Council for Community, providing financial aid, associate book drives, reading glass collections, food drives and other resources to support their tremendous impact in the community," said Dave Jacobs, General Manager of Hyatt Regency O'Hare. "We are fortunate that Hyatt Thrive gives us the means to identify and support their work, and we hope the community will help secure additional funding for Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action in the Facebook campaign, which runs through the end of the year."
