Porchlight Music Theatre Presents BY POPULAR DEMAND Benefit 10/11

Porchlight Music Theatre presents By Popular Demand, a special one-night-only benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 11 at Mayne Stage,1328 W. Morse Ave in Rogers Park. In the spirit of election season, By Popular Demand allows the audience to decide which entertainers will receive encore performances in the second act. Tickets to the event are $40 and going quickly.

Chicagoland's finest talents will belt out their best audition pieces for viewers in Act I and an audience vote at intermission will determine who will return to sing for again in Act II. With the purchase of a ticket for this event, participants will receive two free votes; each additional vote is $1. Funds will support bringing new works to Porchlight Music Theatre.

By Popular Demand will feature appearances by Chicagoland legends and rising stars including Bethany Thomas, Jess Godwin, Rebecca Finnegan, Sean Effinger-Dean, Jayson Brooks, Lina Kernan, Joseph Tokartz, Nick Foster, Jeremy Rill and Ryan Lanning.

The company is recognized for providing nurture and challenge for stars-in-the-making as well as veteran performers. The company has staged 36 shows including four world premieres, among them, The Teapot Scandals, its first work developed through Off the Porch, Porchlight's new works program, as well as seven Chicago premieres. An Equity theater since 2004, the company has already received a total of 33 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations resulting in 11 Jeff Awards.

Driehaus Foundation, the National Association of Realtors, and Peoples Energy.

Ticket Information
Tickets for Porchlight Music Theatre's Monday, October 11 benefit event, By Popular Demand are $40 each. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse Ave in Rogers Park. Valet parking available for $5. The venue is located near the CTA Red Line Morse Station.
