Porchlight Announces Carrie Kaufman as New General Manager

 Porchlight Music Theatre, currently presenting the Chicago premiere of A Class Act at Theater Wit through October 7, has announced that Carrie Kaufman has been named its new general manager. Kaufman, previously the publisher and editor of PerformInk, begins at Porchlight Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Michael Weber, artistic director, and member of the general manager search committee, says, “The addition of Carrie to our team is another step in the right direction for Porchlight. We have been working diligently on creating a strong infrastructure behind the scenes at Porchlight as we continue to produce our acclaimed productions on stage. Her knowledge and experiences are invaluable assets and we look forward to working with her.”

Kaufman comments, “I have always had a high opinion of Porchlight since the theatre's inception and I look forward to jumping on board in this pivotal time in its existence.”
