Pine Box Theater Company Presents 25 SAINTS, 2/16-3/31

By:

Pine Box Theater Company continues its 2012/13 season with the world premiere drama 25 SAINTS by Ensemble Member Joshua Rollins, author of Pine Box's smash hit A Girl With Sun In Her Eyes, directed by Ensemble Member Susan E. Bowen, playing February 16 - March 31, 2013 at the Greenhouse Theater Center Upstairs Studio, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. 25 SAINTS features Pine Box Ensemble Member Josh Odor with Danny Goldring, Drew Johnson, Ashley Neal, Caroline Neff, Molly Reynolds and John Ross Wilson. Tickets are currently available at www.greenhousetheater.org. The press opening is Thursday, February 21 at 8 pm.

Charlie Roedel returns to Appalachia to clean up the mess his brother left behind. He's paying off a debt that isn't his. The woman of his dreams loves the man who left her there. There are no prospects. No jobs. No hope. And a homicidal Sheriff wants a batch of meth cooked by Thursday. Written by ensemble member Joshua Rollins, author of last year's provocative hit A Girl With Sun in Her Eyes, 25 SAINTS takes a hard look at a world many of us choose to ignore and doesn't blink.

Joshua Rollins (Playwright) A Girl with Sun in Her Eyes marked Josh's first collaboration with Pine Box Theater Company, of which he is now an Ensemble Member. Other works include American Rex which just had its world premiere with Chicago Street Theatre and was a finalist for the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Conference; Concealed Carry, which is currently being workshopped in Colorado; and other full lengths in various stages of development. His one acts have been produced by Pine Box, American Theater Company, American Blues Theatre, The Artistic Home and many others.

Susan E. Bowen (Director) recently co-produced Pine Box Theater Company's ElectionFest 2012 at Theater Wit and directed Rachel Axler's Cliffside, one of twelve short plays featured in the festival. Other Chicago directing credits include: Graveyard of Empires written by Elaine Romero; Rivendell Theatre Ensemble's Fresh Produce Series; The Gingerbread House for Route 66 Theatre Company's monthly reading series; Chicago Chronicle: Volume III at American Theater Company; The Runaway Gene: Pass It On for A Red Orchid Theatre's summer reading series; and the production of Wild Women xx, Chicago Fringe Festival. Susan was assistant director to Jessica Thebus on Late: A Cowboy Song at Piven Theatre Workshop and to Laura Eason on her adaptation of Ethan Frome at Lookingglass Theatre. She also directed a staged reading of The House of Mr. Orange by Aasif Mandvi at Access Theater in New York, where her previous credits include work with Epic Theatre Ensemble, Elevator Repair Service and Circle East, among other companies.

The production team for 25 SAINTS includes: John Ross Wilson (scenic design), Delia Baseman (costume design), Mike Durst (lighting design), Victoria (Toy) DeIorio (sound design), Sarah Burnham (props design), Ryan Borque (fight choreography) and Christa van Baale (stage manager).

Tickets: $25. Available at www.greenhousetheater.org.
