A news conference was held June 2, 2010 in Gary, Indiana to announce plans for the construction of a multi-use complex to include the Jackson family museum and the Michael Jackson Performing Arts and Cultural Center, to be located in Gary. Gary, Indiana is the birthplace of the late Michael Jackson, lead singer of the Jackson 5.
