Light Opera Works to Present GERSHWIN'S GREATEST HITS, 10/4-13
Light Opera Works will present GERSHWIN'S GREATEST HITS October 4 thorough 13 at the Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston.
The concert performance of songs by George Gershwin includes "Summertime," "I Got Rhythm," "'S Wonderful," "Rhapsody in Blue" and other classics.
George Gershwin's talent took Broadway by storm in the 1920s and 30s, sold out concert halls and opera houses, and defined an era.
GERSHWIN'S GREATEST HITS is directed by George Andrew Wolff, with music direction by Valerie Maze.
The cast is Sophie Grimm, Sarah Lynn Kelly, David Schlumpf, Colette Todd and Martin L. Woods.
The opening night reception for GERSHWIN'S GREATEST HITS is sponsored by Prairie Moon Restaurant, Evanston.
GERSHWIN'S GREATEST HITS is Light Opera Works' third show of 2013. The season concludes with ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, December 21-31. Discounted ticket packages are still available.
