The League of Chicago Theatres announces the 2014 Spring Gala, an elegant, extravagant evening celebrating the Chicago theater industry and community. This one-night-only event brings together friends of Chicago theatre to raise funds for programs to support Chicago's 240 member theatre companies. This year's event will be held on Monday, June 9, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at Swissotel Chicago, 323 E Upper Wacker Dr, Chicago.

The evening includes cocktails and a seated dinner, auction, live entertainment, and highlights this year's honorees: The Alphawood Foundation will be awarded the 2014 Advocacy Award; Michelle Boone, Commissioner, will accept the Tribute Award for the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events; and the Artistic Excellence Award will be awarded to Gary Griffin, director. An emerging theatre yet to be announced will receive the Broadway In Chicago Emerging Theatre Award.

Chairing the 2014 Gala is League of Chicago Theatres board member Jan Kallish, Producer, Jan Kallish productions.

Individual tickets are $300. Tables of 10 are $3000. All proceeds from ticket sales and contributions directly support the League's programs and services to over 200 Chicago theatre companies.
