Pivot Arts is pleased to announce its 4th annual PIVOT ARTS FESTIVAL, featuring dozens of innovative performances and multi-disciplinary works throughout Chicago's Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods from June 2 - June 12, 2016.

The ten-day Festival showcasing some of Chicago's top artistic innovators will feature live music, theater, dance, children's performances, workshops, discussions, wine tastings and more. The Festival will also include the second annual "Celebrate Community!" Parade on Saturday, June 4 at 1:30 pm, kicking off at George B. Swift Elementary School (corner of Thorndale and Winthrop Aves.) and culminating in performances on the playground from 2 pm to 3:30 pm.

Artists currently confirmed for the 2016 PIVOT ARTS FESTIVAL include: Lizi Breit and Dan Kerr-Hobert, Peter Carpenter, Chicago Folklore Ensemble, Eric Hoff and Jesse Morgan Young, The Hypocrites, Kristina Isabelle Dance, The Neo-Futurists, The Ruffians, South Side Sailor Scouts and Juan Villa.

The festival will also include youth performances by Alternatives/Uplift, Circesteem, Merry Music Makers, Swift School, Storytown Improv and others.

Festival venues and locations include: Lickity Split Custard and Sweet Shop, Loyola University's Mundelein Center for the Arts, the Preston Bradley Center and the Uptown Underground.

Kick-Off Party: Join Pivot Arts for a sneak peek of this year's Festival at the official Preview Party on Wednesday, April 13, 2015 at 6:30 pm at Andersonville's new Cantina 1910, 5025 N. Clark St. in Chicago. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door and include Cantina's authentic Mexican farm-to-table fare, drinks, entertainment, plus a silent auction. Pivot Arts is a home for innovative music, theater and dance on Chicago's far north side. They develop new work and present performances throughout the year culminating in a multi-arts festival. Their vision is that of a vibrant community where unique collaborations between artists, businesses and organizations lead to the support and creation of innovative performance events.
