Infamous Commonwealth Theatre Presents INFAMOUS IDOL KARAOKE CONTEST 9/23

Doors open promptly at 7:30pm. Contestants enter the karaoke contest upon arrival (no pre-registration) and perform in sign up order. Due to time constrictions, Infamous Commonwealth Theatre (ICT) cannot guarantee that every contestant will be able to perform, so contestants are strongly encouraged to arrive early. Contestants will be heard for as long as time allows. Single performers only; no group entries allowed.

Thursday, September 23, 8:00pm - 11:00pm at the The Hidden Cove, 5356 N. Lincoln Ave
$5.00 suggested donation at the door.

After each contestant's song, actors playing various IDOL judges and "celebrity" IDOL judges will evaluate the performance. After all contestants have performed, the judges will pick the top five finalists. The finalists perform a second song, and then the audience votes for their favorite performer by giving money to the contestant they'd most like to win (all "money votes" benefit ICT). Because the winner is determined by audience votes, contestants are encouraged to bring a large group of friends and supporters with them to increase their chances of taking the top prize.

Whichever finalist collects the most money from the crowd at the end of the evening will be crowned the 2010 INFAMOUS IDOL and win ROUND TRIP TICKET TO ANYWHERE SOUTHWEST FLIES There is no registration fee for this contest. A $5.00 donation at the door is suggested for all attendees, regardless of whether or not they choose to compete.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle!

All proceeds from Infamous Idol support ICT's 2010-2011 season, which is dedicated to the season topic Sacrifice

. All ICT staff, ensemble and board members are not eligible for the competition.
