Hell in a Handbag Productions is pleased to present the most frightening show that they could possibly imagine for Halloween, The Rip Nelson Spooktacular.

It's 1976, and semi-legendary actor and comedian Rip Nelson, known in his heyday as the 'Wooga-Wooga' man is having a bad year. His career is not quite going the way he planned and he's not happy. After years of paying his dues in various sitcom guest roles and b-movies Rip finally lands his own Halloween special and sees it as his chance to show the world his immense talent. His last cancelled sitcom, Rip, Rip and Away! was a monumental flop, having been slaughtered in the ratings by The Shields and Yarnell Show and reruns of Hogan's Heroes. After yet another bout with the bottle Rip desperately needs to make a comeback and has called in a every favor ever owed to him to compile a star studded list of guest stars. Will Rip triumph and return to the spotlight where he longs to be or will his personal demons sabotage any chances of Rip achieving dream of America's favorite obviously gay comedian?

Handbag stalwart Ed Jones (Lady X, POSEIDON! An Upside Down Musical) stars as Rip Nelson, the tormented comic genius who seems to be his own worst enemy hosting a show that could make or break him. Join Rip and his guests as they sing spine tingling musical numbers and perform ghastly sketches that will have you longing for the wonderfully tacky variety shows of the 70's. You never know just who will show up on Rip's terrifying Halloween Spooktacular!

Directed by Cheryl Snodgrass (Die! Mommie, Die! , HAYWIRE!) , The Rip Nelson Halloween Spooktacular is a limited run - advanced tickets are recommended.
